AK-47 Armorer/Operator Course

This course will provide the participant a solid foundation in basic maintenence and repair as well as some of the safety concerns by recognizing common issues associated with production mistakes before use.

Day One – Classroom

History of the AK (AK-47, AK-74, AK series weapons) from several countries chracteristics

Cycle of operation
Maintenance and Repair
Assembly, disassembly, field-stripping, and troubleshooting
Alterations and Mods
Safety, and Warning precautions
Day Two – Range Day (8 Hours):


Advanced Long Range Rifle

This course will teach fundamentals using optical sights to achieve first round accuracy up to 1400 yards. Upon completion of the course, you will leave with the ability to estimate distance and the effects of windage. The student will shoot approximately 400 rounds, working up to 1400 yard steel. This class is not limited to caliber or weapon type. The Instructor will sharpen your skills and assist with equipment recommendations. Quality scopes and ammunition for long range.


+ 100 - 200 - 300 x 660 Yards
+ 600 - 700 - 800 - 1200 - 1400 Yards


Auto Weapons Operator

This course exposes students to various select-fire and fully automatic weapon systems employed around the world today such as the M4, M240B, MP5, G36, AK47, and more as well as the safe operation and effective shooting fundamentals of each.

NRA Rifle Instructor Certification

NRA Instructor courses are discipline specific. Candidates are required to satisfactorily complete twenty (20) hours of the NRA Rifle Instructor Course and demonstrate solid and safe firearms handling skills.

This course includes classroom and range time learning how instruct others in the use of rifles. Students learn NRA's rules for safe gun handling, rifle parts and operation, etc. Role-playing is a major part of an instructor course. Students will be working in teams, actually conducting portions of the course to other students.

This course teaches the student how to effectively and safely utilize a rifle at distance with a variety of firing positions. Upon completion of the course, the student should be proficient with:

AK-47/74 Operator

The basic to advanced AK-47 rifle & carbine operators course is designed to teach the student to be well rounded at the highest level with operating the AK-47 or AK series rifles. SFI can provide the weapons and can provide the ammunition at an additional cost. The student is welcome to bring along his or her own weapon systems. You will be using some of our weapons, different models, different configurations.
